At the heart of our community’s growth and development lies the Village Building Department, your dedicated partner in ensuring safe, compliant, and sustainable construction within our charming Village.

The Building Department enforces zoning ordinances and the Village Code, inspects plans, issues building permits, and certificates of occupancy. Since permits are required for all alterations, additions, and/or structural changes, residents are advised to check with the Building Department when planning changes to their homes. The Superintendent of Buildings is available on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3 PM to 5 PM and on Wednesdays from 8 AM to 12 PM. We encourage residents to make an appointment with the Superintendent of Buildings beforehand to ensure his availability. Messages for the Superintendent of Buildings can be left with the Village Office or can be emailed directly to building@baxterestates.org.
