Leaf Collection will commence on Monday, November 4, 2024.
Robert Keogh Inc. will be servicing us for leaf collection. Weather permitting; leaves will be removed on either Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday of each week until December 9, 2024. There will be no additional leaf pick-up after this date!
Place leaves in a pile at the CURB and EDGE of your lawn for pickup on Monday.
Leaves are not to be placed beyond the curbing into the roadway.
If you place leaves in the roadway, this is a violation of New York State law.
Leaves will be collected on a best-efforts basis, and any leaves remaining after our collection efforts are the responsibility of the property owner.
Please note, branches and yard waste are not part of leaf collection, and they must be separated from leaf piles, tied, and placed out for Monday’s garbage pick-up. Garbage pick-up, which includes yard waste and recyclables, is not a service of the Village of Baxter Estates. Baxter Estates residents are part of the Port Washington Garbage District and are serviced by Dejana Industries Inc. for their regular garbage pick-up.
IF USING A GROUNDSKEEPER FOR LEAF COLLECTION, THEY MUST HAVE A 2024 VBE GROUNDSKEEPER PERMIT. PLACING LEAVES IN ROADWAY AFTER ALLOCATED TIME IS A VIOLATION OF NEW YORK STATE LAW AND WILL BE STRICTLY ENFORCED.
