Mayor Nicholson opened the meeting at 7:30.

 

Treasurer Tuck led all present in the Pledge of Allegiance.

 

  1.   New Business

 

A.      Baxter’s Pond Foundation Presentation

 

Mayor Nicholson and the Board thanked Nancy Comer for leading the October 6th clean up and planting in Baxter’s Pond Park.  Mayor Nicholson presented Baxter’s Pond Foundation Director Nancy Comer with the citation of commendation signed by Edward P. Mangano, Nassau County Executive.

 

B.      Tree Removal Request-24 Central Drive

 

Mr. Costello requested permission to remove a healthy tree in the side yard of his property at 24 Central Drive.  He stated he would like to expand his two bedroom home to accommodate his growing family, and cannot do so unless the tree is removed.

 

On motion of  Deputy Mayor Comer, seconded by Trustee Haagenson, it was unanimously RESOLVED to approve removal of the tree.

 

C.  Tianderah Road Closing     

 

On motion of Deputy Mayor Comer, seconded by Trustee Baldwin, it was unanimously RESOLVED to close Tianderah Road from December 6, 2014, to April 1, 2015.

 

D.  PSEG

 

Mayor Nicholson spoke on the PSEG webinar held on October 15, 2014.

 

E.     Lease Renewal

 

On motion of Trustee Haagenson, seconded by Trustee Baldwin, it was unanimously RESOLVED to enter into a two year extension of  lease with  N2 Design & Architecture, P.C. with  Harry Nicolaides, AIA, in the form prepared and presented to the Board,  by Attorney Prior.

A.       Minutes

 

On motion of Deputy Mayor Comer, seconded by Trustee Haagenson, it was RESOLVED that the reading of the minutes of the October 9, 2014 Special  Meeting of the Board of Trustees be waived and they be and hereby are approved as presented by Trustee Peckelis.

On motion of Deputy Mayor Comer, seconded by Trustee Haagenson, it was unanimously RESOLVED that the reading of the minutes of the October 2, 2014 Meeting of the Board of Trustees be waived and they be and hereby are approved as presented by Clerk Whitcomb.

A.   Abstract of Vouchers

 

On motion of Deputy Mayor Comer, seconded by Trustee Baldwin, it was unanimously RESOLVED that the Abstract of Audited Vouchers, dated November 6, 2014, for the General Fund, totaling $ 41,702.36 be and hereby is approved as prepared by Treasurer Tuck.

Mayor Nicholson updated the Board.

 

Executive Session 10.00 PM

 

On motion of Deputy Mayor Comer, seconded by Trustee Haagenson, the Board voted unanimously to enter into Executive Session to discuss personnel matters and pending litigation.

At 10:07 PM  Mayor Nicholson stated that Executive Session had concluded and that no action had been taken.

 

There being no further business before the Board, on motion of Mayor Nicholson, seconded by Trustee Comer, it was unanimously RESOLVED that the meeting be and hereby is adjourned at 10:08PM.
